That awesome interview with Megan!

Interview with Megan Williams
Megan Williams is a hard working student that attends as a full time student in Oxnard College. Ms. Williams currently resides in Camarillo and is currently in the Soccer team for her college. Furthermore, her motivations to remain college are that she wants to further her education, get a job, a career, and be very successful. During the weekdays she’s much occupied as a full time student, especially on Tuesdays and Fridays because those are the days when her soccer games concur with school. On the other hand, Megan gets free time for herself and her family to relax during the weekends. The role models in her life are her parents and her sister.; her parents for being very hard working and are seen as true parental figures, and her sister for being the perfect student in school due to her perfect grades. According to Megan, she doesn’t see herself as a mentor, but I truly see her as a role model and admire her for being such a very busy student and for her potential to keep up with school. The way she describes herself are by being a very hardworking persona, athletic, and lastly with a huge sense of humor. Megan’s goal during the next 5 or possibly 10 years is to have a good job, own her own home, be married, and to have kids; technically to have a family. The motto that motivates her to keep succeeding is “Do your work on time”, for she sees it as the true key to success. The things that Megan likes from Oxnard College is that she doesn’t know anyone in this school, also that it’s very easily to befriend the student population on this warm welcoming campus. Although, the small dislike that she has from school is that there is limited parking, and can truly be frustrating to compete for parking space. Furthermore, she expected that college would be a huge learning facility with large classrooms and with professors that would only do lecturing and to not interact with the students; which truly shocked her because it was quite the opposite. According to Megan, “Going to College is expected!” her cultural influence is mandating, but I’d say it’s very good that it’s expected because it just creates a better person in general. Those who go to college are better prepared people rather than those that just finished their general studies. In this case, Megan she’s a very hardworking student which I believe in her potential to succeed and accomplish her desired goals. I truly hope the best for her and her future.

That Essay...

The Feared Graduation.
Friday, June 10. 2010, was the day that started a new chapter in my life. This day was the day of my graduation, for me this day was the most unwanted day of my life. Graduation itself looked like a very fearful event to myself, I felt this day was going to impact me in everyway; which indeed has, but it also created little slight for that graduation experience.
The day started very early, having very few sleep, I decided to just stay up and to tune into the television. That day was also the beginning of the Worldwide FIFA Soccer cup, the  tournament had begun with Mexico vs. South Africa, very much excited,  I watched the television with just excitement and filled with entertainment; forgetting about the time and the fact that today was my graduation,. Finally the game had ended around 10 A.M; shocked about the time I soared to the hair salon to get my scheduled haircut. Nervous and anxious I felt that the time being put into my haircut was composed of long hours! Finally my hair was done, the time was running quicker now then ever, so hurried I went back home and ran to the bathroom to take a quick shower, luckily, I was smart enough to pick my fancy clothes the day before for this unwanted but special occasion! My fancy clothes was composed of a really nice set of clothes, a black long sleeve shit and my trousers were black also and just to add a little pizzazz I weared this really nice neon colored tie which just was the finishing touch to my vesture.
Leaving home in a hurry, I drove to school. Getting to Hueneme High; my anxiety and my nerves grew, a little lost I found relief as I found some of my friends arriving barely to school and walking their way to the gym. My friend Darion noticed and glanced at me and said: “hey dude, are you nervous or something?” I stared blankly and replied to him with a long and deep yes. He laughed, and then me and the rest of my friends proceeded to the gym. Fellow students and other classmates were inside the gym already, the gym was nicely decorated with loads of balloons and large flyers that had written “Congrats Class of 2010!”. Everyone inside the gym had large smiles and seemed absolutely happy that they were about to graduate, this made me feel a little more nervous, I felt I was the only guy that was just nervous and scared to walk the line. So my friends finally dispersed in different directions, being left alone, I noticed another of my friend named Cindy approaching me. Feeling shy and nervous I greeted her and gave her a nice big hug, she complimented me with my fancy vesture by telling me that I looked very “spiffy and clean”, me bashful I replied that she looked marvelous and astonishing! Cindy smiled and gave me one last hug, that hug was very special to me because I felt more secure she made feel that the graduation wouldn’t be that bad. Now the time has come, the counselors had now begun to gather up all the student and the mustering begun calling every single student and placing them at the order they were going to receive their diplomas., finally now the official event has begun, the class of 2010 was now ready to cross the line.
We now all were leaded out of the gym and being escorted to the football field, I noticed that the bleachers were full, there were people yelling and screaming, having seeing so many people I felt very paranoid and a little nauseas. The counselors, hustled up all the students to their seats, in that short elapse of time I felt how slightly sweaty I became and took my seat. Now officially the ceremony had begun, students stoked and ready were cheering and laughing, everyone was ready, so they called the first of the lines to receive their diplomas, fellow class mates were excited and super happy they finally had gotten their diplomas. The next of the rows were called, my anxiety grew just a little more every time a line was called up the stage. Finally, it was my rows turn to walk the line, walking to the stage I felt a little shaky and nervous to get upstage, seeing around the whole view of the many people and my many classmates that had already crossed the line, I noticed two of my friends, they were from the ROTC program and they were helping out by escorting the ladies down the stage; being unaware of the of whom they were calling to receive their diplomas; the dude behind me said “dude, you’re up!” walking forward and receiving and finally receiving that diploma I felt that my anxiety has ceased. Growing into a mood of joy I jumped up and by joke as walking down the stage my friends raised their hands to escort me down the stage, happily accepting, I grabbed both their hands and walked down the stage with two great gentlemen. This little act created such a scene that most of my friends applauded my unplanned scene which turned out to be very great and successfully funny. Finally, relieved I took my seat, very happy and full of joy I watched as the last of the rows crossed the line. Officially now the class of 2010 graduated! Everyone stood up and hugged and cheers on each other and finally we all threw our graduation hat to just represent that we were all happy we finally concluded this celebration. By now all the students dispersed, they went to their families happy and receiving gifts by their loved ones, I then turned to my family, my mother filled with joy and so proud of me; I’ve never felt so happy of myself, I felt ready to face college and  ready to face the real world. I felt my life has just begun.

Text text Text!!

Texting, I can truly say that texting is a good form of communication, and it seems to have grown more into popularity by the modern day society especially form the age group of 13-40, even though this is a very good form of communication, this form of communication can also be very dangerous and to many forms, lethal when only conducing a moving vehicle. As you may recall, television in generally reminds their viewers to not text and drive, as obvious as it is, texting while driving leads to distraction. This distraction isn’t sane, this distraction leads to collision and destruction even also death! Many unattended drivers seem to just focus more onto the amount of texts messages they are receiving and the anxiety grows to just read that simple short text message and reply, something that seems very safe to do even when driving can turn into a total second of destruction; once you are unaware of what is on the road and simply drive without any care can just finish your life. I think people should just limit their ways to just texting, indeed its entertaining and gets rid of the boredom but this turns into a serious problem while it is introduced while driving, people should just limit that anxiety of reading and reply, instead they should just focus on the road, it could help them get home faster and safe. If people continue with this habit the death rate for killer texts will just rise, generally, if the people just disciplined themselves from not texting and driving, it can truly save many lives.

Reality Television!

Reality television I can truly say it’s just another way of entertainment for the modern day society people that just enjoy television broadcasting. Furthermore, reality television is a set of dramatically events also a set of what is seemed to be believed to happen in real life thus called reality television. In my personal life, I hardly watch reality television; I have a good reasonable explanation why reality television is not really good for people to watch in general. Reality television is basically full of drama and it makes you believe what this form of media is actually good and entertaining but the reality is that this form of media makes you the viewer live a false set of dramatic events. To explain, lets put the reality show called Jersey Shore as my example, as you may recall this show is about these “really cool teens” that technically the basic point of the show is to just show that they are really great at decision making and that they get to solve most of the dramatic problems that cross across the show. The truth behind this is not the idea that you have the absolute power to just solve anything you want, the real message here is that the producers want you to look up to these characters and scrutinize the personality of the characters of the show and make a comparison with your own personality. As you may see the characters of this show are not as “descent” as they seem to be, most of the characters show a character of being “awesome” and being really “good looking people”; and this is where the real message actually kicks in, people actually do take the word for these shows and they truly look up to these fake characters that truly don’t exist! Technically, it’s just a hoax, and people just imitate these characters which truly marks such a negative reputation not only for the actor but for those who act as if they are living inside the reality show. In addition, I can say the imitation from these sorts of shows is just empirical; many young viewers especially seem to get attracted to this sort of reality shows and create such a scene by actually acting like their most favorite character, everything from the personality to the way of dressing. Honestly, I believe this is nothing but just a creation of a scene among people, I truly see this very negatively among our society because basically most of the time the impersonating from these viewers is very immature most of the time and well the reality of this is that they truly just want to live the life of their desired characters. To conclude, I myself personally don’t really like reality television due to the poor message that they truly seem to hide very well from the society, this just brain wash the mind of our society, they make people forget the reality of just the sacrifice to being a successful person and the true meaning of taking risks to live a good life, instead these shows just show a very fake form of living that leads to just imitation and a bad charisma to those who just seem to impersonate all these fake personas, this is just truly a fake reality of living, and this shows should really just be limited to the youth.

Fast Food!
My childhood I could say, it was rarely filled with fast food. Reason is, that mostly my parents took fast food and restaurants more like a treat, or they would sometimes use as an excuse for breakfast, lunch or dinner. I remember as kid we used to visit McDonalds a lot or the second favorite choice was Burger King, my dad would usually buy a full combo for everyone, we would either get the “Big Macs” for McDonalds or just the “Whoppers” for Burger King. Back in the day, I saw this treat as an exquisite meal because basically me and my siblings had to had to either behave really good or just academically do well in school! Either way, my parents always bought this treat for the whole family.
Fast food these days I could is very easy to access in my life, but I make the choice to evoke to most main part of my family. I’m not going to deny, I love fast food and going to other restaurants, but the majority of this day is to eat house food. To explain, to my knowledge I know fast food isn’t beneficial for your health; I rarely eat to my present life and just prefer to eat more organic food. I have learned in the past that this food can affect my diet in every way, so choosing to evoke this is indeed a very good choice for my health. Furthermore, I feel fast food isn’t good for the present generations, day to day more kids are becoming hooked to these fast food franchises. Also, more young adults seem to see this as an easy way to evoke real beneficial and healthy food. In other words, many parents these days are just to lazy to promote a good healthy nutrition to their kids, instead, now they feed them with burgers, pizza, chicken nuggets, etc. The main point is that I think parents should really limit their kids with this eating habit, instead they should introduce a better way for them to be more healthy, if this was introduced there would be less obese children and mostly our country would not be on the top charts for a problem with obesity.
Fast food is good once in a while, I’m not saying its something bad and totally radical, I just think that the people in general shouldn’t consume it in large quantities, as you may see this way of eating becomes more of an addiction to those who just seem to consume this occasionally. If people just realized how much of this addiction to eating fast food can be really fatal, I bet that people would make brighter and healthier choices for their health and would live a longer life span, thus leading to a huge reduction to obesity and people basically would just be filled with more and energy and life. Technically, health would forward to its normal levels and people in general would just have knowledge that you don’t need to consume fast food to eat a satisfying meal.
